Different Shoes

I wish I could see life through the eyes of a songwriter. Every mood, a lyric. Each love, a harmony. Every heartbreak, a metaphor. Every time you're lonely, you sit at the piano and sing away the tears.
I wish I could see life through the eyes of an author. Each moment, a new chapter. Every tear, a title. Each love, a new novel. Every time you're lonely, you sit with pen and paper and write away the tears.
I wish I could see life through the eyes of an actor. Every smile, a new scene. Every love, a new act. Each disappointment, a new playbill. Every time you're lonely, you climb on that stage and pretend away the tears.
I wish I could see life through the eyes of a dancer. Every loss, a pirouette. Each love, a leap. Every ending, a curtain call. Every time you're lonely, you put on those shoes and dance away the tears.
I wish I could stop wishing I was someone else.

We all wish we were someone else at one point in time. It's easy to do that. Just keep your chin up. There is only one Kyssa and millions of dancers. I'd hate for you to get lost in the crowd. :)
