The Doldrums of Winter.

It's cold, it's gloomy, everyone is sick, I do believe we're in the doldrums. Christmas came and went. It never even seemed much like Christmas. I had to have so many different "celebrations" and my family had to argue over who had us kids when and why and where. The only good part this week was going up to Chris's hometown. His family is just so fun and relaxed and it was so easy to sit back and have a good time. Part of me wishes that I could have spent the whole time up with them, but I don't think my family would have liked that too much on such short notice. Anyway, I'm glad it's over. Now I'm looking forward to New Year's...I have two days off and get to babysit for a friend and hopefully return from my trip to the doldrums.
