Kids These Days

I love Wednesdays. Wednesday is my day. I get done with work at 1:30, done with class at 3:15 and the rest of the day is all mine. Today I had some things I needed to pick up at Target and I love Target so that was all fine and good. One of my coworkers told me that she found some really great deals at Herbergers last night so of course I had to go check it out for myself. I only found one thing that I really liked and it was 65% off so I figured I could treat myself. So I'm in line waiting to pay for my shirt and the lady who was working was very nice to the older lady she was waiting on; she talked to her, complimented her selections, basically all the things a good salesperson does. From the interaction it didn't seem like the two women knew each other, which made the next part so much more frustrating. Now it's my turn in line. I greet the sales lady and all I get is a cold "hi." The only thing she said to me was the total, she didn't once look up at me and I was the one who told her to have a good day. It makes me so angry when people treat me like that for no reason. I guess I can't speak for her, but it seems like the only reason she acted like that was because I'm young. I can't help my age. I would like to think that I am a responsible, polite young adult. I work almost 40 hours a week and go to school. What is so wrong with that? I was in no way rude to her and it just made me so mad that she was so rude and it's not the first, and probably won't be the last time, that this has happened. I just had to get that out there...

On a happier note (literally...haha) I bought the Juno soundtrack today. I haven't bought a cd in a really long time but I'm really glad I got this one. It's lighthearted, fun and overall really good. I'd recommend it to almost anyone. Unless you're into heavy metal, evil and overall bad music. No offense.

OOOH can I have a copy of the Juno soundtrack?! please?
Also, it is a small town...the old lady was probably a friend of a friend or someone who shops every day or something. I would be nice to you! Or maybe you bought something that they sales lady wanted and you took the last one and she was bummed? Or maybe she was just a huge biatch.

no offense, but thats herberger's for ya!!! haha. jk. as a whole, ppl have more of a connection w/ ppl that are in their own peer bracket. and im pretty sure u arent in ur 40s... so yah. she probably doesnt think u'd have anything to talk about so a simple "hi" was all she had. she's just old skewl n not down w/ the 21st century. it sux, i know. when i was at court yesterday to contest my traffic ticket, do u know how many looks i got?! im not a criminal, but ppl just assumed ya know. stereotyping and being judgemental is a grand ol' thang now a dayz.. bah! ps-woohoo for juno! luv it.
